I am thinking of adding a subwoofer to the factory system in my 2008 Toyota highlander. I upgraded the sub in my truck to an ARC12 so now I have an ED 11Kv.2 just sitting in the garage, so I thought I might put it to use.
The highlander has a factory "subwoofer" in the rear door as part of the JBL premium system, but its typically weak.
I was thinking of just adding a small mono amp and tapping into the speaker level signal to the factory subwoofer. Which would work better in this scenario if I used an amp with built in speaker level inputs or used a LOC? Or would I get the same result from either?
