Speaker Install Help

So I got my PG Rsd65cs's, waiting on some deadener then Ill be ready to install.

I pulled off my door panel and that plastic cover and found a little issue, the hole for the speaker is a little unconventional, some weird Honda design. The speaker doesn't fit all the way into the hole, I probably will need to cut some metal off the door.

So cut some metal. I have done it with tin snips before lol. Make your mdf baffles and see if the magnet will clear without cutting first though and if not just cut away and dont break anything!

Already thought about that but the gap between the door and the speaker is like 3 inches.

looks like you're definitely going to have to cut some of your sheet metal off

Well good thing these are only 1-inch.

btw, the factory speaker should have been on a spacer itself.

and then if he ever wants to return the car to factory? I've installed quite a few speakers and will say the only time i've had to cut metal is in an old volvo. Mdf rings should work fine without cutting metal.
