Speaker grille?

Okay, So I'm new at this..... I would like to make some speaker grilles for my interior. The rear deck mounting "adapters" are made from 1 inch MDF. They are 12 inches by 9 inches. They are routed out in the center a little over 1/4 inch the the speaker is further resessed into the remaining MDF. They are covered in vinyl. The center section is an oval. I would like to make a fabric grille for these but cant seem to find anything that will bend to make the grille frame. Can any of you folks help me out? I am no good with Fibreglass.

Can't you cut out a piece of wood in an oval ring that would fit in there?

I guess I could but I'm not really that good of a woodworker! I am going to try but I sure would like it to look god when I'm done.

Make a cardboard cut out first...make a few. Get it to fit and look the way you want. Trace it on to the wood and take your time with a saber/jig saw.
