Speaker brand question

alright. i thought that i was set on my infinity kappas but i just thought of other brands that would probably be better. would boston acoustics or mb quart loud speakers be better? i would want to set a cut off pretty high on it so as to leave the bass to the subs. any adivce would be helpful.

It's hard to beat those Kappa's in their price range. Nothing wrong with them. Their not known for being extremely loud, but their loud enough for most. If you wanted something better I would recommend the MB Quart Premiums for about $100 more. But for the exact money of the Kappa's their hard to beat.

Yeah he's right... Those are all really good tweeters... it just comes down to how much you wanna spend.

yeah well money isnt really an object for my speakers. so in overall quality, i want them to be loud as well, which brand and make would you recomment.

Make sure you put 150w x 2 or so into them though.

You may want to look at a pair of Polk Audio MOMO tweeters. They're a little spendy but are excelent stuff.

what about infinity componets? good quality? i want them to be loud and clear. i dont need bass cause im just gunna turn it down so i can leave the bass to my subs. any advice?

Utopia's or MB Quart are much better all around speaker than the perfect's in my opinion. the tweeter lacks for the price that they cost, while the QSD mb quart are excellent and the best out there in my opinoin and right next to them are the focal utopia's. i'm glad that you have money as no object though b/c those focal's cost 900 like was stated earlier and if you can find those QSD's for 500 your getting one hell of a price, the best i have seen online is 800.
