Speaker baffles.

i am having an issue with rain getting into my drivers side door. I have already replaced the window strip seal and the water still gets in there.

i am going to take it to a glass place next week and see if they have any suggestions. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

What I am thinking of doing is this: I want to buy a foam baffle and cut out a the bottom 2/3rd's or so of it and throw that away. Then all that will be left is the top portion to protect the speaker as water drips down onto the baffle. I would hope it wouldn't kill the midbass of the 6x9.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thats usually what most do. So go for it.
Yeah, that's what I figured. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

what about the weather stripping on the door?
you mean the strip that seals the door when you close it? That's fine. I've checked it.

I took the 6x9 out and let someone spray water lightly on the window and I can see it dripping past the window seal. I guess that's what ruined the factory speaker (didn't know that at the time) and now it's getting into the new 6x9. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Do you have trim on your door?
I get a little water in from powerwashing. Thats only of the trim isn't glued on though.
trim? Not sure what that is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif
