Speaker Baffles On Newer Car

Well, it's about time for me to get another car, my 2008 Avenegr has 200,000k on it and the repairs are starting to be equivalent to a monthly car note ?

Anyways, I'm looking at putting a system in the soon to be new car (2014 Corolla) and was wondering are speaker baffles relevant? Do they teller enhance the mid bass that much? Is water leakage an issue in new cars?

I know my Avenger never had issues with water leakage in the door.....

I'd be willing to bet that deadener on the doors would help the midbass a lot more than baffles. I've used them in a couple of my builds and they do help, no doubt. But sealing all crevices and holes by doing deadening increased my midbass and output significantly. As far as the leaking question unless the car has a defect or you tend to leave your windows down i seriously doubt you'll have any issues.
