Speaker Appearance

i wanted to get some ppl's opinions on speakers appearance preferences considering that the speaker will not be behind a door panel. considering that the speaker(s) will be mounted on a customer door pod or kick panel and easily viewed by anyone

1. use whatever speaker grille it came

2. make a mesh style grille cover

3. utilize a bar style cover or mass produced grille

4. go *****

secondly for any custom pod whether it be a door pod or kick panel, let the speaker highlight itself or accent it with lighting?

i'm just throwing around some ideas but wanted to do some more brainstorming, pics would be great if you could post.

I would protect it with something. I tend to stay towards the grills they came with if depending on the speaker.

I think a thicker mesh with accent lighting that wraps around the speaker would look great. Something subtle though, not too bright.

The only times I would go ***** is if the speaker is going to be higher up in the door. I would never trust having a speaker on the lower part of the door or in the kick and be bare. My feet hit the door nearly everytime I get in the car

do custom mesh design with speaker cloth maybe? with some led's behind the cloth
