Speaker adapters

I deadend my doors,just left the speaker holes. Am making the adapters from MFG (at least trying lol,if that fails gonna go with the ABS plastics)

The question is next: Do adapters go over the alu butil(deading material),or over the metal and then alu butyl over the adapters?

Also what should i use to ''glue'' the adapters on the door? I heard the silicone isnt a good idea.. So besides of that i have some glue that is for plastic,metal bla bla,and ''diht mass'' used in auto industries for engines and such.. It can stand a lot of heat (not that i need it) and its black lol =))

When I built my adapters to go from 5x7 to 6.5 I screwed them to the doors and used non hardening clay as a sealent.

non hardening clay? Hm.. Dont think we have that here in Serbia ^^
