Sure. And just like Hifonics and SQ. The Mac uses the same internal parts that every other laptop manufacturer uses, they just charge more for the heat sink. In your case the aluminum casing and Apple logo.

In conclusion Mac = Every other laptop, Hifonics = SQ

I do not know why you think that about AMD ? Sure Intel performance might be better on their higher lines but I would hope so for the price you pay. I know many people running Intel rigs and have said the next build they do will be AMD just because the price to performance ratio is unbeatable. There are many good bench test of AMD products and really the only place I see Intel being superior is when you are going to drop 2 to 3k in a build. There is nothing wrong with AMD and I am not nut-hugging because sure if I had 3k to spend on a build for a pc there is no reason why I would not go with Intel

AMD is inferior. If you compare an Intel and an AMD that are within $20 of each other cost wise the Intel will out perform. Sure you may get an 8 core AMD vs a 4 core Intel. Its sad when a 4 core chip can outperform something that has double the processing cores.

so true, I dont even use multithreaded operations, i'd rather trade all these cores for some fast single threaded performance. Even overclocked i'm way behind on single thread performance of 3rd generation i3s.

anyone who has read up until the point where the thread got derailed will realize that there is no point in talking about which is better because there isnt a definitive answer... the video that sparked this discussion pretty much lays it out. I wasnt sure because i thought that i was maybe missing something, and that doesnt seem to be the case. The people who say one is better than the other will either be called a hugger or a hater, a cheapskate or a snob, a newb or an idiot etc etc... at this point, this thread has literally become the joke that it was inevitably going to be. If you dont like what you see here because you find it to be useless blather, then dont click on it when it shows bolded in the thread list. PC can be used for multiple things like on the fly os switch and gaming.

MAC can be used for browsing and very little gaming. Dont forget it also has pretty colors for the fegs and wannabe professional users.

No wonder why it lasted you so long..... You dont use it for much.

resons to but a mac: having a glowing piece of fruit on the caselid which signifies that your bankroll might be larger than the other person at the coffee shop using a pc.

need a laptop? buy an Asus with an intel processor and never look back all the while scoffing at those who are more easily separated from their money and have a far less useful machine

again, want a mac? buy a cheap pc and install the latest ios .iso...

Last time I played a game on a non console it was Quake back in the mid 1990s.

With apples OS you don't need to change it every year.

It does what a laptop needs to do and does it very well.

Personally I love apple products so I'm a bit bias. The whole house is Apple.
