Sound waves question

So I have 2 Kicker Square 15s which only do 1-100. Which I am told I DO NOT want my subs to do any higher than that anyways, but my speakers bass don't really 'keep up' with the subs. Why is it said I don't want my subs higher than 100?

Anyways when its on pretty much full, the notes the subs hit are fine, but the ones the subs can't hit that the mid speakers can aren't even close to as loud as the subs(They are all in boxes too) which kinda makes sense 6x9 vs 15x15

I am wondering if adding smaller subs like maybe 2 or 1 8 Inch, but only making them do 100+(I dunno exactly how to do this, I think you can buy 'bass blockers' that block certain frequencies?) would be something I could do without having the subs 'cancel'?

And unrelated question: Does having 2 subs in one box let you make the box smaller?

They were built for up to 100 hz..............

if a car has a redline at 6000 RPM why can't it do 12,000 rpm's

you need more mid bass

and 2 subs in one box make no diff in size of box

they pick up the LOW sounds and what you want is MID sounds so you need a midrange speaker and not a SUBWOOFER

He means get the car deaded. Stops inside sound from escaping and outside noise from penetrating.

Sound deadener is a great place to start. Add better mids, amplify them, cross them accordingly.

you kind of answered your question, 2 15's vs 2 6x9's. It's going to be hard to keep up either way. adding deadner will keep your car from vibrating, at least the thin metal pieces, that can cause mid cancelation.

thats a bad mix of sound waves too.... square and oval is not good. get some nice 6.5 components and you will be way better off
