ok my question is can this amp be hooked up to run 2 dvc 2 ohm brahmas? the taranchula (SP) does 1600/2 @2 ohm i beleive is there any way i can get it to give each brahma 1600w?
can only do it if its going to be stable at 1 ohm... it might be able to support that low impedence. but if its not able to, then it might catch on fire
give it a shot and see if it goes into the protection circuit. it does have a protection circuit, right? i just ask because my amp didnt(notice the use of past tense here...)
oh yeah, and i believe the spelling is tarantula //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I believe he said 2 dvc 2oh msubs that would need a 2ohm load stable amp now Adire does say you need only 500 - 600 rms for a ported brahma in the correct box but I dunno. But that amp should do 2 ohm bridged I believe.
dude i have the same amp hooked up to two HPO 15's and its a good amp but it wont push 1600 to each sub just hook it up both speakers at 2ohm and you will be amazed as to how loud it will be and how clean it will sound thats your best bet because the amp can only take 4ohm, 2ohm, or 4ohm bridged. dont push it its expensive to replace
