Sound Deadening with weight in mind

yep just checked and it is dynamat xtreme. well all the locals here use peel and seal and have great success with alot of tenths gained so i just think its all about preferance in my mind. but to each is own
I'd like to see a photograph of that. Dynamat Xtreme can withstand prolonged exposure to 350°F. I think we can assume your trunk hasn't seen anything close to that. If Dynamat Xtreme melted in your trunk you have a warranty issue with Dynamic Control but that still doesn't come close to supporting your assertion that it is the same thing as P&S.

ok just took pics with my phone cuz no digital camera but ill upload them as soon as they come through. dynamat is soo overrrated. in this texas heat it melted at about 100 degrees. and that waas outside so it might have been like 115 inside the car but still no where near 350 bull shit rated.

If OP doesnt want to add 30lbs to his car to make a drastic difference in the sound, he is a ricer and will hopefully crash his stupid car.

FAIL!

What the hell does stacking two photos on top of each other prove - that you can't figure out how to use PhotoShop to fake evidence? Pathetic. The temperature rating I listed has nothing to do with published specs. I tested that myself. Want me to put together a phony picture to prove it?

lol mines not phony though. its one of the trunk floor and the other is the front of the trunk floor where the sun shines on it. one day i reached back to feel my amp and it just slide right off. it was floating on top of melted tar.

You'll excuse me if I don't believe you. Either you put the Dynamat Xtreme on top of Peel & Seal, you're lying or you are the first person in 4 years of following this stuff who has bought Dynamat Xtreme that was made out of asphalt. In any case, it should be obvious to everyone who has read this that you endorse Peel & Seal because in your view it is the same crap as Dynamat Xtreme. All that means is that you are encouraging people to use what you yourself have identified as crap. I doubt anybody will be foolish enough to listen to advice like that. Remind me never to ask you for a recommendation for a restaurant.

That is kind of what I was thinking.

If Dynamat is the exact same thing as P&S.

And

His Dynamat Melted (unlikely)

Then, why make the suggestion of P&S which has a soft foil that is haf the thickness of Dynamat and a total thickness/weight/density which is exactly half of Dynamat?

Makes no sense?!?

Too bad the product you are telling us you use/used has virtually no tar in it. It certainly would not produce 'melted tar' residue if it were, by some miracle, to melt in your car. Which it didn't.

Oops? Liar.

the guy with issues with dynamat did not install it right prob did not use a roller or use solvent to clean the surface right so it never bonded right and dust and dirt bonded to the glue causing it to not stick and thus it would fold ontop of its own weight and slide around till it was infact a pile of junk under the carpet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I love guys that try to say an orange p and s is same as an apple dynamat, hehe
