Scenario: 2005 Dodge 3500 quad cab w/ a cummins that we use as our work truck at home
problem, i hated the wimppy sound of the stock exhuast, so me and a friend decided to remove the muffler and just straight pipe it, it sounds amazing, problem is, if i'm pulling a gooseneck/5 wheel trailer and get up over 70mph, the level gets very noticable in the cab, it's too loud, under any other conditions its fine, but loaded down w/ a load you can't go much over 65 without it getting annoying
how effective will sound deadening be if i do the entire rear half of the cab plus possibly the front doors, so that's all 4 doors, rear wall, and back half of the floor, i dont' want to have to put the muffler on.....it doesn't have to get rid of all the sound, just lessen it enough to be livable...and i'm willing to do as many layers as i can get in there
