sound deadener brands

i need about 50 square feet and there are a ton of different brands. i want to try to stay under 100 bucks shipped. i have been looking at fat mat and e dead. what do you guys think?

dynamat is way too expensive

peel and seal is useless

I'd really recommend that you spend the extra $15 or so and get a roll of RAAMMAT.

FatMat = Peel & Seal = asphalt = no good

eDead uses Mylar instead of aluminum foil = no good and there have been problems with recent shipments falling of.

RAAMmat and BQ Ultimate are the cheapest products you can buy that are decent. Second Skin Damplifier and Damplifier Pro and Cascade V-Max are the best products you can buy.

dont even waste your time or money with edead. I got the buylt edead and its coming off. The 140 degree temps in my car are to much for it

The second skin is hanging on with no problem

sure it cost a little more but its much better stuff.

I wish someone had told me to not waste my money on edead

i would not use fatmat. i ordered some last year when i was doing the rex. 2 months later i still did not have any fatmat. it took calling over & over again to get some one on the phone. when i finally got it touch with someone they told me they did not have it. they should have contacted me an let me know they did not have it instead of just letting me dangle.

Personally, I would never buy anything other than Second Skin deadener. Even though it costs a little more than some other products, Ants customer service is top notch. And I dont mind paying for that.

Up your budget a bit and your options will be better. If you choose to go with some lesser products, get some super 77 spray glue and you should be fine. I used that and some of the cheaper mat on my flat surfaces and Dynamat and spray on deadener on my doors. I'm gonna throw my trunk carpet back over it too.

B-quiet ultimate is about $130 shipped on ebay and rammat is about 140 shipped on their site.

Id go with a roll of rammat if I were you
