When sound-deaden the door, is it better to leave the existing holes uncovered? Or it's better to cover the whole bare metal part without leaving any opening?

Also which layer of the door need to be dynamated? A, B, C?

A is good , A+B is Better , A+B+C is Best. It all depends on how much you got to spend. Generally I cover the entire "A" surface, install a small section on surface "B" (just around the speaker mounting location) and would only mess with surface "C" if it had an annoying noise that was coloring the sound....or I had tons o' cash.
