Headunit problems, please help....

Hello everyone,

Great website!

Over the weekend I purchased a kenwood kdc-722 and installed in my gf car. Everytime she turns off the car or the headunit, all the presets are restored to factory settings. For example the clock, fm tuner, eq etc.

Could it be the install or is it a defective hu?

Bestbuy is saying it's the install and the audio shop is saying it's the hu.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

first I'd check if the memory(yellow?) wire is connected properly

I second that recommendation. Definitely a case of the switched wire.

lumpmoron2 - This was for my girl and she wanted a hu w/ dual screen. Best buy had the best price.

I don't think I have ever seen a good price on anything at BestBuy. RED and YELLOW wires connected backwards (assuming there not connected together)
