Sound Dampening...Big Help

I am drowning in a sea of information right now guys and I need some clarification.

I am set with my products, but I am a bit confused with proper sound dampening.

My goal is to improve sound within my car, I am not too concerned with keeping noise out, as I am not looking to spend a ton on the deadening materials and also I am not wanting to add that much weight. I only plan on installing front drivers and a sub in my hatch.

My plan:

CLD tiles - I plan to cover roughly 25% to 50% of my front doors and hatch.

CCF - My car has a plastic panel(for the window motor and accessories) between the outer door and the inner panel, I plan on stuffing some CCF directly behind the driver and using the excess to fill any large gaps.

So, where am I wrong? What am I missing? What else, keep cost effectiveness in mind- could I do to improve this setup?

Thanks!

Covering front doors is not sealing front doors, that should be your goal. Sealing openings with something rigid. Just covering the plstic with CCF wont be of much benefit. Deadening on sheet metal works well. Don't put CCF inside the door unless it is silicones to the outer panel and clear of the window movement.

CCF by itself is not going to do much if you use it to fill gaps or put it inside the door behind the speaker. Yes, I know multiple companies sell CCF as a product to put inside the door, but it's been explained multiple times by Rudy (Don, the owner of SDS) what it can and can't do. If you have buzzing caused by two hard surfaces touching, such as the inner door panel against the sheet metal, that's one place CCF might help. Due to the closed design of CCF it can't influence sound at frequencies that matter with music.

Keeping some external noise out will improve sound within the car. The alternative is to play the music so loudly that it drowns out noise. The problem is the external noise distracts from the music, even if we try to ignore it. You're already talking about vibration damper and CCF, so why not put a few pounds of MLV in? I did that to just my front doors and the benefits are fantastic.
