I recently bought a 12" sony sub and a 1000w 2 chan sony amp... I wired the power cable and ground cable and interconnect, but im having trouble with the (turn-on lead), my aiwa MA01 doesnt seem to have a turn_on lead. so how to do i turn on and off my amp. Also How do I bridge the two channels into one subwoofer? any help would be gratuitously accepted!

The turn on lead will then need to be tapped into a switchable power source that turns on and off with the ignition of your car. Possible sources could be the clock in your car, or a turn on lead that the Aiwa is using from the factory wiring. Not an impossible task but you will need to be able to trace wires under your dash and use somesort of a volt meter to determine the presence of power with the ignition on or off.

If your deck doesnt have a blue wire for "accessories" or power antenna, then you CAN wire your remote to your radio fuse. Just wrap the cable around one of the fuse prongs. It might be a little difficult to get back in the slot, but if you can get it in there it will work. BUT... you'll want to wire a switch in with it, because now your amp will come on whenever your key is on, and that can be a waste of power and ect. Just my opinion. It also helps keep the "pops" out of your speakers, although with it on the fuse there is no certain way to get those out.

To bridge your amp, just follow the directions that came with your amp. You'll hook up your + wire from your sub to the positive on one channel, and the - to the - of the other channel. Make sure you also set your amp to be bridged.

Lastly, be careful pushing that much power to one Sony sub. I've always known them to be WAY over-rated in their power and stuff, so watch your volume so you dont blow your sub. Hope that helps. Hit me back if you need more.
