My brother had 1 '03 model 15 l7 in a piece of shit tiny *** sealed prefab box with the lowest specs possible (got it at a swap meet).... Pushing it with a 1,200 watts performace tekniques amp (around 500 watts rms to it) with all the gain, bass boost, subsonic filter, lowpass and bass remote all the way up in a 95 t-bird...

and i have 2 05 models 12 inch L7's in a ported box pushing them with a power acoustik A2400DB amp ( around 1,400 watts rms to them)................

How come his shit somehow would hit harder ?????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

********** NOTE his sub burned within a week ****************//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Is 1 15L7 better than 2 12 L7's ????????????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Apparently mental retardation runs in the family.
Was it just subjectively (if you know what that means) louder? Or did you actually meter the two setups?

based on the comments, isn't this question already answered? Of course, they had the new termpro in excellent condition. Perhaps.......the platinum version...

because in california when you are listening to music sitting down the thing that is bigger in size is always louder. always.

Hey Mr. spelling bee champ. You forgot to capitalize the beginning of your sentences. Just letting you know since you are all of a sudden giving people shit about there spelling.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

somehow i think this got off topic, to respond to the actual question, there are 456,346 reasons that the other setup could be louder, type of enclosure, sound deadening, direction of the sub, voltage of the car, and then also you said he had bass boost and gain all the way up which is a very bad idea, i suggest you take it to a shop and have it properly tuned or something cuz it probably sounded like poop. or get a multimeter and tune it yourself
