I found this to be very interesting from a scientific point of view. Now can someone smarter than me relate this to car audio? It's a guitar lesson on harmonics. Watch and you might possibly learn something...or not. >shrug

That's what I thought. Not a huge revelation, but interesting none the less. I always heard of speakers having nodes but could never "put my finger on it" (haha) when it came to explaining exactly what that meant. This puts it in perspective for me at least. I would imagine it applies to anything that vibrates.

Does this mean that certain materials can not be damped at certain places?
