A simple forum search will reveal there are numerous questions about HO alternator brands and their respective quality. This should provide conclusive evidence for/against the quality of various HO alternator brands.

Please vote ONLY for the alternator you have personally used!!! The data will be worthless if peeps vote according to what have heard.

Stay away from EA. . . Two of my teammates got EA alts installed right before finals. Both of them had voltage regulator and both of them sucked. It wouldn't hold steady voltage at idle nor at 2000 RPM. Dom from Iraggi was there and took a look at both of them and couldn't get them to work right either I believe.

One of my teammates sent his EA in to have a voltage regulator added to it. When he got it back, the battery post was broken off and Nate was hardly any help.

was that the thread with the external regulator?

well actually Tony got his alt fixed from a bad ground. Just sucks he realized that after finals! LMAO And mine well Nate is fixing the battery post after my epoxy held it up for the weekend. and the voltage regulator are apperently wired with too small wire (per Dom) Should have been 8 - 10 guage wire. plus the regulators we have are about half as powerful as the ones that were back ordered. Which Ill have at the end of the month.

So honestly still happy with my alt and the CS of EA.
