someone please fix my settings

I still say you are tuned too high. Don't get me wrong, 40 Hz with the 1508s is great if SPL is your game. Your setup appears to be a subwoofer in the center console of a regular cab truck, right? If so, I don't think you have enough room to take advantage of any cabin gain in the one octave lower range like you would in an SUV, Hatchback, etc. IMHO, 40 Hz is tuned WAY too high for your near field listening experience.

It's an extended cab pickup but yes, you're right. Do people who tune their boxes to 40hz enjoy this sound? When I first heard it, I wondered why there was such a big following behind dd. I was very disappointed. Im hoping and praying it's just a box problem. I guess my only choice is to have another box built. I've been bass less for about 3 months now and it looks like its not getting any better.

Is there anything else I can do??

If its still bottoming out, turn your SSF or HPF (whichever one your amp has) up alittle bit (~35ish).

BTW does it have a SSF or does the HPF get into the sub Hz range?

And try turning the LPF down till its not so "midbass" like.

You could try stuffing your enclosure to the gills with Polyfil, but I still think the high tuning will work against you. When I say stuff, I mean stuff as in you will have to push your woofer into the enclosure to screw it down!

I'm not familiar w/ that driver, but it sure doesn't look to be exceeding its limits. Unless something is restricting/hitting inside the box (wire or something?) & causing that scratching. I'd have to venture a guess & say it maybe defective. If its under warranty I'd return that bish.
