Someone in the area this late..

Sorry i just can't stand cops. Thinking they can do whatever they want, run through red lights with their sirens on just so they don't have to wait then turn them off. Bully around kids asking to search their cars thinking they don't know the laws. Been there done that bought the tshirt. i know....that isn't all cops...blah...its most of them that i seen. Anyway i'm done on this topic and thread...

The leo's would be more then happy for me to catch him if it's the correct guy. He has gotten into several cars in the area lately and they never have caught him. Otherwise I'm an ex-cop carrying a license, none-the less their not going to care. Especially considering I know every cop on duty at night shift.

But I've also heard that "Reach for your license slowly." Got a random traffic violation one day for speeding. The first thing I told the officer was I had a Hand Gun in the car. He then asked if I had a carrying license. I proceeded to tell him yes. He asked me to get my wallet slowly.

I understand where you are coming from. I hear this day in and day out on forums. It really doesn't bother me. I'm no longer a cop and no longer care. I was young when I was working for the Leo so I wasn't to bad and understood most teenagers. In fact I didn't even bother teenagers, unless they were obviously dui. I was a pretty straight froward guy, it took more then the average jo for me to right you a ticket. I'm not going to lie, attitude counts. I had a certain area, and in that zone was a major rode quite a few speeders came along. I was pretty cool about it. Most of you guys think all the officers are there for, is to make money for the city. Our job was to increase safety. And that's what I did. In fact to be honest I didn't pull most people over unless they were doing at least 8mph. I worked night shift, so I did deal with my share of teenagers. I didn't hassle them, or perform illegal searches on them. But if you want to know why your local police hassle teenagers. Not saying you do. But literally over 35% of the teenagers we stopped at night had drugs, alcohol, or were driving under the influence. But like I said, I didn't stop you unless you were doing something wrong.

thats the dumbest thing ever. also more trouble if you got caught carring that around than some thug. also it cant be that "decently weathly area" if thugs are around, call the police let them deal with it. who knows if he had a gun. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

I'd do the same thing...But I'd probably have a rifle, moreso a shotgun 12gauge street sweeper. I think that'd be something that'd cause less static...But to each their own in this matter...My grandpa is an old time gun collector. Sleeps with a gun pretty much in his hand, try breaking in his house and your dead...People can do pretty much whatever they want to defend their property when their life/family is in danger.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

well in cali if they live after you shoot them in your house they will sue and when..... i lived in bakersfield,ca and the cops there said that if you shot someone breaking in your house...you better kill them then drag them you the house

Under law they can. But by the justice system it doesn't always work that way. I seen a theif try to sue one time, because the owner of the house he broke into had an open knive laying out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

Unfortuantly thats how our justice system is. The law is you can shoot if they enter in your residence, and you feel threatend or endangered. But even shooting when their in your house, they still sue if they live. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif Make sure to kill ftw.

i cant get insurance on my car audio equitment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and if the guys in your area who steal shit have guns, your lucky my area is too poor for the guys to have guns, just knives here mostly

Not that it matters but anyone in AK can carry a concealed weapon. No paperwork nada (unless felon etc)... In addition, since person who investigated the unknown "bad guy" did not know at that time if the suspect had a weapon or not I think bringing a gun to a gun fight is appropriate. Why else would you want to carry a gun?
