I have 4 Sundown E8s that I want a simple carpeted sealed enclosure built for. I am in Stockton M-Th and the East Bay Area on the weekends. Anyone up to it? Sundown recommends .28 ft^3 per sub, so total 1.2 cubes? I want one terminal cup so they can be wired down to 1ohm. I'd also like them flush mounted but not necessary if it will drive the cost up...Who can help me out? Thanks!

Not local but I can do it.

Here is one I built for 4 e8's a couple of weeks ago.

I take it as you never did the IB for the RL-p. Whoever builds it for you, you should have them build it so that you can slide it in and out from the trunk opening of that tiny mustang opening. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No I didn't sadly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif The RL-p is going to be for sale soon. I may go IB with these E8s. Just want to get them in the car now. And yes I want all 4 firing to the rear so the height of the box can't be more than 10" or I won't have enough room to slide it in/out of that "tiny Mustang trunk opening" LOL....

Hey if no one's able to do it, I can probably do it for the cost of the sheet of MDF (I still have extra glue and all that left over). But it won't look super good LOL. I'll probably get the cuts from home depot go home glue and staple it together then use triangle braces. Then idk how you want to run the speaker wire..

Haha well we'll see. Can you do roundovers? And I was told for sealed to not use a common chamber for 4 sub, but I don't know why. I want one terminal cup to wire them down to 1ohm. Can you carpet too? We could build it together and learn? LOL...

I can't think of a way to run them to 4 individual sealed chambers down to 1 terminal cup. If you're mounting all 4 subs same way then I don't see why a common chamber won't work. But if you're thinking about mounting 2 rear firing and 2 up firing then i can see why. Round overs will need a router and that I don't have. Carpet is EZ you can buy it at JoAnns and use 3M spray and carpet but I haven't done 1 carpet that i was proud of. I think that RL-p box was my best carpeted box.

As for terminal cup that's a extra 5+ dollars or so (I haven't found any cheap ones besides online) Home depot and radio shack has them as i remembered they were pretty pricy. That's why i ran wires through port and thats why I only use ported boxes LOL

My thoughts exactly on the single chamber. And duhhh to not being able to use one terminal cup with 4 individual chambers lol what was I thinking? I'd like to get trunk matching gray carpet. Does JoAnns carry that, or should I get it off PartsExpress? I think it would be a bit easier to carpet a sealed box right? No port to carpet around...How much including carpet and the terminal cup, were you thinking? I'd love to have this done local to avoid paying for shipping on a box.

Oh man JoAnns would save you a lot more money...learned my lesson, but PartsExpress carpet is much more thicker. ummm I was just gonna do they box for you for the price of 4x8 MDF (around $25 if prices didn't increase dramatically), then my profit would have been the 1/2 of sheet that would be left over or so. Carpet at JoAnns was cheap like $3-5/ yard. I just wrap it like a present (same with ported box, then cut the carpet around the port). But I don't have anymore spray adhesive.

As for terminal cup, I only had 1 experience with it. You need to find the cutout for it so it fits in and not too lose so it doesn't leak around that area. I don't recall putting sealant around the terminal cup.

Did you try contacting bfisher, or whoever it was that does pound that sound....

I'm thinking how your box will fit in.

H: Max 10"

W: something like 1.5" + 8 + .75 + 8 + .75 + 8 + .75 + 8 + 1.5 comes out to 38"..that's mounting the subs straight across ..how's that gonna work? haha
