Someone help

I have a problem here I have 4 aftermarket speakers with a amp I was driving home tonight and I turned my head unit to about 7 and it start making the music sound terrible so I turned it down to 0 and u could here this buzzing sound coming from my speakers so I ejected the cd and everything went back to normal turned it to 6 it was fine turned it to 7 and it started happening again I've never had a problem with it before help please

Could be a bad amp wires or even an issue with one or more of the speakers. Hard to say for sure

Could it be caused by a loose connection? It was fine earlier then on my way home it did it

what headunit it is, and what amp is it? volume 7? seems very low

you've got a bad ground somewhere; I would start at the head unit and work my way through the rest of the car checking all of the grounds; Did you do the big 3 upgrade already? if not, might wanna try it; Also engine noise is caused by power wires running too closely to signal wires

I went out this morning to look and I noticed when I got it to volume 7 the amp power light would turn off but it didn't go into protect mode any ideas?

Bad ground

Like I said before, check all your grounds; If a ground can move side to side or be twisted, chances are it's a bad ground. A ground has to be metal to metal contact that is secured with a nut/bolt/washer; Also paint has to be scraped. Remember that Ground Wires need to be as short as humanly possible in order to be most effective.
