my setup

2002 ford SVT focus

kenwood excelon x493 HU

kenwood excelon door speakers, whatever stock size is 4x6 or 4x8 idk my deck lets me pick OEM, 5/4 or 6X9

i cant figure out how to make them sound good because my deck has too many settings

like bass hz, bass q 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0,

same for mids and high

then theres a total hz for front and rear 40-220

i could really use some advice please

wow that was helpful
He's right you know. First, you need to do some legwork and try to understand what all the setting are for, but that's not the hard part. The hard part is listening to the system and identifying the problem areas, then strategically attacking them with the available tuning features. You either need to learn this for yourself, try a few things and come back with intelligent questions based on your experience, or pay someone else to do it for you. There's no way around it.

anyone have any good write ups on here I could look at?

I found out what all the stuff is for, like the Q factors are to have the bass/mid or treb to have a wider range

I jsut really need help figuring out how to make it sound better

No one can tell you what "better" is to you. You are the only person who knows what will sound better to you. So play around with the eq'ing and determine what sounds the best to you.
