I just bought a 97 corolla and im looking to put some component speakers in. I really dont want kick panels because its stick shift.
It appears the stock front speakers are 4 inch pincushion drivers. What have some of you done? Do regular round or square four inch speakers work? Or can it be easily modified to fit a bigger midbass? The rears I am going to just drop in some six inch coaxials.
I want to make sure a regular round woofer will sit in nicely with no airleaks. Odd they would use a pincushion style speaker in four inches, but ive seen it before!
