Some questions before I attempt my first ported enclosure.

I would like to make a box for my jbl 12's.

I like one of moes designs from the sticky here is the link to it.

Ok here are my questions.

How much mdf will I need to build this particular box?

Is 35 hz a good tuning for my woofers?

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

pretty much got the same problem. cept i wanna build a ported box for my 2 12" L5s

add some braceing to your box

You might need two sheets but you could probably plan it out right to only need one. An extra sheet would be a good idea to have around anyway in case you mess up. Check up on JBL's site and see what they recommend for the enclosure.

Measure twice, cut once. Take your time, glue it and then screw it. The straighter the cuts the better, and don't **** up.

I have all the #'s from jbl site for the woofers...

Thhey say they need 1.75 cubic feet each so i figured 3.5 is good.

how much does a sheet of mdf cost anyway?

I live in the country, I dont have any fast access to Lowes or Home Depot or anything. All I have is 2 local lumber places.
