i need some help

ok i have 2 12" kicker L5s and gotta get a box. previously i have just done the easest thing and went out and bought a prefab box. i have decided to move on from that and build my box. i no i could make a good quality sealed box but am not sure if i want my l5s in a sealed box. if someone has one or two in a sealed box please tell me how you think they are sounding. i am hesitant about building a ported box because i fear that i will mess up the port. umm help me out if possible. thanks
