So I have have been noticing that some of my CD's have a lot of audible distortion and sound like crap.

I know its not my deck, amp, or speakers at this point. Most CD's sound really good, but some give off sounds similar clipping or popping even at low levels. I am guessing it was the way it was recorded or someone trying to remaster it and pissed up the levels. Has anyone else noticed this?

I almost want to try to download the music and see if the compressed files have it to.
