Some alpine type r questions

Even if picked up a used alpine 1000.1 or ??? But you shouldnt need any electral problems with about 1000 rms on hand. Your best bet imo
I bought one of those amps, and ran it for about three days till I couldn't stand it any longer. Not a bad amp for about a 500rms sub,but any more power needed, best find another.Just from my actual experiencing/testing/running.Not a good choice here for this thread,in my opinion.

Well shucks... Maybe I should get a smaller sub and amp? I had RF H3 I believe (super old subs) and had them powered with the 150 rms amp per channel and that suited my needs pretty well. Perhaps I should look for a sub / amp more along the lines of 500-600 rms. I don't mind getting a capacitor but I'm really trying to avoid a second battery and stuff.

If I went the 500-600 rms route, Do you guys know any descent subs that run that power? (I know it's pretty small for most of the big leagues around here)

Never waste money on a capcitor total waste of money. Does absolutely nothing for you.

Google up what the big 3 upgrade is, thats the electrical upgrade you want to do, your not replacing anything, just adding on thicker wire to your charging system. Your not gonna need a 2nd battery. At most, you might need a good battery under the hood but i'm pretty sure just by doing the big 3 upgrade will keep your voltages high, if anything just back off on the gain and use less power from the amp.

Also, did you even check out the equipment i listed....

HDS212

Precision Power PPI BK1800.1D Black Ice 1800W Monoblock Class-D Amplifier

If your stock alternator is 80 amp or higher, you can handle this amount of power as long as you dont crank the gains to clipping. Even if you wire it down to 1 ohms, you'll probably be at 2 ohms + after box/impedance rise, so again, thats not harsh on your electrical system at all.

if your just looking for bass fill then yeah 1 will be fine. If you have any urge to bump it every now and then, i'd recommend getting two, they are cheap and of good quality.

Just make sure you have it in a ported enclosure thats built for it. Not some random enclosure you buy on ebay/amazon or some random guesswork box frabricated from a local audio shop that does not even know how to design a proper box.

I completely just realized they were 600 rms subs. So one of these amps can easily power two of them. For sure I will be running a 2 sub setup then.

Sorry I totally understand the big 3 upgrade now. Jeez I feel like such a tool. I should mention that I'll be needed to run a 2nd amp to power my speakers. I havn't decided how I want to go with the speakers yet but I would say around 70-110 rms per channel so my other amp would roughly be 400-500 rms. Do you guys think I could still do that with a descent battery under the hood?

I appreciate you guys being so helpful and putting up with my questions.
