Just my own personal experience. Yours and mine just vary. Setup who knows how many maxxsonics powered setups at under 1 ohm. A quart onyx 2k(similar to a brz2k) that i personally ran should have died a few times over and worked fine for a over year at .5. Three separate times I've put in those little ab's and they sounded terribly weak for what they're supposed to be. And the one I put in at .5 kept shutting down on me. If you'd had my experiences with em maybe you'd feel the same.

Clamps? I'm not saying the hifo is better.

Hifonics will do half ohm nominal daily fine. Both are in the same boat in quality, the hifonics are stouter build quality by far.

Funny part is the 90% efficient. Looks a lot like listed specs for flee market amps. .00001% THD

Never made any power, direct swaps with a 1600 brutus and the brutus outperformed in every case. only thing changed was the amp, only way it actually played any bass was if the gain was extremely high with bass boost on. If the gain was just high without bass boost, door speaker's midbass sounded louder. This was bought new. While the brutus reached input voltage on the dmm with 50% gain, the hybrid didnt reach ac voltage for 2000 watts at all. Highest was 36 volts ac with everything maxed.

Might have been bad off the production line, but others have experienced the same as me. I RMA'd that amp and traded the new one in with vertex audio.
