So Randy Savage got pulled over...

his buddy wont go far in the PD, on the other hand i get all of my tickets dropped because of my family being in the PD. they just go about it a different way.
My buddy will be fine. He already got put into one of the best precincts in the city, and got put on a great assignment after only a year on the job.

He didn't call his delegate to rat on the guy, he called him to see if there's anything he can do about the situation. I didn't ask him to do anything, he went and called him on his own. After he told the delegate what happened, the delegate wanted to talk to the officer in question.

Are you one of those pesimists that beleive the only way to get far in life is by taking it from the man and following what people tell ya. I think Savage's buddy did the right thing and seems like a good guy. Wish we had more cops like that.

BTW no one cares about your tickets being dropped, this is Randy's thread.

This is why you should carry around your keyboard with you, a quick flash of the big red 'BAN' button would have set him straight.

That being said I would fight it if you don't get it dropped as you can probably at least get it reduced.

See that's the problem. Maybe instead of worrying about advancing his career he actually decided to do the right thing. Cops have a tendancy of treating each other like a brotherhood and covering each others *****. Why do you think they always try to handle things internally.

If the system was just this would have helped his cause instead of hindering it.

if i followed what others told me i wouldnt get my tickets dropped...i wouldnt have left an install bay straight to city council, i would not have graduated high school if i had listened to what other people say.

Technically you didn't have to answer any of those questions. Cops try to intimidate people and catch them in little falsehoods or try to twist their words around. A lot of times people condemn themselves when being interrogated by a cop. Not saying that was the case here.
If a cop asks me random questions that don't relate to the problem at all, I just say, "why, is there a problem officer."

Like when he said, from where? I would say, why, is there a problem officer? lol

And if he said, why were you going home this way? Just say, "why, is there a problem officer? haha

Plead the fifth and don't say ANYTHING without a laywer present. I know this is going to extreme's but cops can be dick's and you actually have rights, but they just don't give a shit.

But sometimes there is just nothing you can do, if you get a prick cop, you have a chance of getting screwed over.
Another tip, besides saying "why, is there a problem officer?". Many times cops ask "do you know have fast your going?" or "do you know why I pulled you over?". Even if you know or THINK you know, don't tell them (if you were breaking the law). Say the posted speed is 65 mph and you are doing 90 and the cop asks how fast you were going. Instead of stating that you were doing 80 to make it seem like you were speeding, but not as fast as you really were, you would be better off saying "i was doing the posted speed limit". I say this because the cop may not know how fast you are going, but they think you were going pretty fast...so if you tell them 80 mph, they can come up with any excuse and say "we clocked you in at a greater speed, but i'll cut you some slack and write down 80."

If they ask if you know why they pulled you over, simply state that you don't know and ask why. They will try to get information out of you, they can say anything to get the information out of you, but because they are not under oath at the time, they don't need to tell you the truth. It's very dirty and I don't agree with it. People also talk about cops having quotas, and this kinda mixes in with the situation. They don't necessarily have quotas, but if cop A and cop B make the same amount of money, work the same hours, but cop A hands out 3 - 4 times the amount of tickets than cop B, then the question is, how much work is cop B doing, thus the need to hand out tickets, even over stupid things...so they will ask you questions to confess about what infractions you have made so they can give you a ticket...

Again, not all cops are like this, but there are several of these cops out there. I've been pulled over a couple times and should have gotten a ticket, but the cop was nice and for whatever reason decided to let me slide with a verbal warning and to drive safer. Then again, there are these kinds of good and bad in any profession.

I think you need to go back to high school, because I don't understand a thing you wrote.

So youre sayin ga good cop cant go anywhere? Only bad/corrupt cops get promoted? And this is the way you want it to be? interesting. No wonder I can always make threads about cops fucking shit up.

except this is the internet, it has no affect on anyone's life.

99 percent of police are about as usefull as a warm dog turd on the sidewalk.

seee I give 1-100 chance of coolness, this about as often as I have ever encountered it.
