Alright.. I am wanting a new car, and am MOST likely getting a job this week.

So I would like some more opinions (than just my friends, who don't really seem to grasp certain concepts very well..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif) on what would be the BEST choice.

One way to go, is to get a lease that is 0$ down (yes there are several 0$ down specials in my area right now on cars I want)

The thing with a lease it, that I will not have the money to pay it off at the end of the lease, BUT I will be driving a brand new car that is safe.

The other way (obviously) is to BUY a USED car. Keeping payments around 200$ a month at around 7% interest.

Things to consider-

Insurance. It will be higher on a new car.

College. I'm leaving in a couple years.. Will I want/ need a car in college?

If you're wondering about how I'm going to do this, and with an interest rate of 7%. Well, I will be getting with my parents.

lol so you are already planning on buying a car using a job you don't even have yet? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

My suggestion would be work a few months make sure the job is steady then look at cars, a lot of shit changes over a few months time and it sucks being stuck with a 6 year car loan and no job. That is unless mommy and daddy will bail you out which I am guessing is the case here.

Buy a used car that is in good condition/low miles. Leasing is not worth it 99% of the time to the average person, especially a young one with no earning power. Get a car that has already taken the big hit in depreciation.

HEY, I'm excited.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Buy you bring up a good point. Also I'm pretty sure that's the point of a co-signed loan. Though I wouldn't plan on ****ing them over.

SpiderMonkey- I saw that one coming, lol.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I agree, work for a few months at least, and make sure the job is even a stable job, then get a car. I don't even think you should even get a new car, a used car is fine, is this your first car?

Well, kind of... Yes, my first personal car.
