So Randy Savage got pulled over...

x $125 = new chit,
drive slow= more toys:p:
More like more gas money the way things are now. I have a 4 cyl '01 Accord and put it 20 bucks yesterday and I only got 1/3 of a tank filled out of it... wtf?! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Why in the world would you drive BELOW the speed limit? Thats easily worse than speeding. Let's say I'm driving along at 73 in a 70, following another car. All of a sudden they change lanes, because of some ******* who is going 60. I have to hit my brakes, it ****s up traffic. I'd rather have some punk kid just zip around me going 80.
thats why i like "ricers" they always speed.

I would have eluded. Once you pull into your driveway, park your car and gotten out, he wouldn't have bothered you any further.
haha i dont know about all that.

i dont, and im sure neither does snoop dan, have a problem with you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.
in fact, im glad to see you saying "i know i was speeding, ill take the ticket". it just irks me a little bit that when you got pulled over your friends says "im an off duty cop" likes its a free get out of jail card. thats all. nothing against you.
I know where you're coming from, my friend was just looking out for me though. We've known each other for almost 20 years now. He didn't even say it with an attitude or anything, just said 'hey officer, how are you, I'm off duty in such and such precinct. '

If you met my friend you'd never think he's a cop. He's very quiet and mild-mannered. I don't know how he is even a cop, he's too nice of a person to be honest.

So, me and my buddy (who is a NYC officer) take a trip to Ikea yesterday, as he wants to pick up some furniture, and I want to get a coffee table. I'm driving home, and he tells me to get off at an exit, as it's quicker. I was driving rather fast (78mph, as I will find out), and as I'm on the exit ramp, I get pulled over.
Officer walks up to the car, asks for license, registration, insurance, and as I give it to him, my buddy tells the officer he's an off-duty officer in the city, cop turns to him and says, "that's good for you," and walks back to his car. We can tell right away this guy is a stiff-***.

So, the cop asks me to get out of the car, and asks me a few questions:

Him: Why were you speeding?

Me: No reason, just going home.

Him: From where?

Me: The mall

Him: Why were you at the mall?

Me:....I was at Ikea

Him: Why are you going home this way?

Me: Well I usually go another way, but he (my friend) told me this way was quicker.

Him: So he told you to get off here to avoid me?

Me: No, I have no reason to avoid you.

Him: Yeah...ok...he told you to avoid the cop.

Me: No, he didn't...

Him(cutting me off in mid sentence): Get back in the car

So, I get back in, and he pulls my buddy out and talks to him, he asked for his NYPD ID, then asks him why he told me to avoid him, my friend told me he didn't even see him, and why would he, being an officer himself, tell me to avoid the cop...the guy tells him the same shit he told me, tells him we were trying to get away from him, and tells him to get back in the car.

Gives me a ticket for speeding, and we're on our way.

My friend gets home, calls his PBA delegate, and tells him what happened. The delegate tells my friend the officer that pulled us over was way out of line, and asks for his name/badge number and calls the officer. The officer that pulled me over tells the PBA Delegate that me and my friend TOLD HIM that we got off on the exit to try to get away from him. The PBA delegate doesn't believe him, calls my friend back, and tells him what he said, and my friend is pissed at this guy. The PBA Delegate is supposed to call the officer back that pulled me over and try to get him to not submit the ticket, and I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

To be honest, I told the officer I had no excuse for speeding, and I know I was speeding, and I don't have a problem getting a ticket for it. I'm not mad that he pulled me over for speeding, he did his job. But I'm furious that he would put words in my mouth, as well as my friends, who IS A COP. This guy straight up lied to the PBA Delegate about what happened, me and my friend were present for everything that was said between everyone there, we know what we did and didn't say. Like I said, I have no problem accepting the ticket, but don't make shit up.

Cliffnotes: I was driving with my friend in the car who's a cop, we get pulled over, cop that pulls us over is a douchebag, gives me a ticket for speeding (which I have no problem with), but cop also thinks we were trying to elude him, friend calls PBA Delegate, delegate calls cop that pulled us over, he lies to delegate and tells him we SAID we were trying to get away from him, delegate tells friend he's a douchebag and he's lying, will talk to him about getting rid of ticket.
Technically you didn't have to answer any of those questions. Cops try to intimidate people and catch them in little falsehoods or try to twist their words around. A lot of times people condemn themselves when being interrogated by a cop. Not saying that was the case here.

If a cop asks me random questions that don't relate to the problem at all, I just say, "why, is there a problem officer."

Like when he said, from where? I would say, why, is there a problem officer? lol

And if he said, why were you going home this way? Just say, "why, is there a problem officer? haha

Plead the fifth and don't say ANYTHING without a laywer present. I know this is going to extreme's but cops can be dick's and you actually have rights, but they just don't give a shit.

But sometimes there is just nothing you can do, if you get a prick cop, you have a chance of getting screwed over.

Around here the Tennessee Highway Patrol is generally a lot worse than any of the city or county officers. Even when I was young and did extremely stupid things, the city and county officers were very courteous when I had a run in with them. All the THP officers I've ever encountered (especially females) were complete assholes and wrote a ticket for everything they could while talking to you like shit doing it. I don't know if it's the same elsewhere though.

so your friend an NYPD officer ratted out another officer? thats a great thing to do as an officer
When that other officer is abusing his authority it is a great thing to do. I always thought cops jobs were to protect and serve, not to try to add false charges to innocent bystanders because they are on a power trip.

his buddy wont go far in the PD, on the other hand i get all of my tickets dropped because of my family being in the PD. they just go about it a different way.
