So now i'm a LITTLE less screwed up...

You wired them wrong.

If you want them to be wired to .5 ohm, do it like this:

AND DON'T WIRE THEM ANY DIFFERENTLY AS YOU WIRED THEM IN SERIES LAST TIME! You were actually getting a 2 ohm NOMINAL load and you were reading 1.0 as the DCR which is not the same thing as the nominal impedance of the driver. And no, I'm not speaking of "impedance rise" from the enclosure/environment, I'm speaking of AC conditions (music) vs DC conditions (your multimeter).

Wire just like the diagram you posted or like the one I posted and you will be golden.

If your leads are not long enough, add a jumper from one negative coil on your sub to the other and do the same with the positive. The idea you're trying to accomplish involves all positive coil leads going to the positive amp terminal and all negative coil leads to the negative coil terminal. Right now, you have one negative lead going to a positive lead -- that's wiring in series!

I think he wanted a 2 Ohm load, right?

I am guessing you just wired it up wrong, go to a shop and have them do it, probably cost you 20 bucks.

sub wiring > me
thanks guys i figured it out...but now i'm starting to think i **** at building boxes and that PVC pipe is not meant for aeros, cause it sounds like crap...

i always hear port noise from pvc

break bread and buy psp or aero's

you can reduce port noise from pvc but you got to sand the edges at both ends and it will be less but still audible
