So many subs what to buy?

After reading the post up hear I want to run a d4 12 inch offer but I'm not sure what to buy. Everybody and there momma runs rockfords or jl or Kicker so I want run something different that blows them out of the water. I'm torn between

AQ SD2.0

DCON D4 12

SKAR AUDIO 12

SD12

Any ideas suggestions personal preferences. Also running a Orion 500.5 but looking to upgrade mid summer. I also have a rockford 200/2.

The AQ2.0 is decent, but comparing to the others it is not a good choice. The 2.5 might hold up a little better in this case.

The Dcon is a great sub. I'm working on getting a skar here(yes working on that again) so I can have more experience with it to give better feed back.

anything atomic.... I also like sundown's sa series, pretty popular though... aq's hd3.0 series is pretty beastly for the price.

You could get an obsidian 12 for around that price range, I hear they devastate the lows and it would be my choice if i was looking for a 12. Or you could up your budget to just under $200 and get an sa-12 it's a great sql sub. I have an sa-15 and its pretty impressive.

Very true. Our Obsidian subs are doing great things in our demo truck.

Well I just built a 2 cube box tuned to 32hz its my second box and the mtx sub I have I don't think does the box justice. Would post pics but not sure how to from my phone (htc merge). Want to keep the cost of the sub under 150 if possible.

A skar would be fine with that as well as the rest of those subs though...

The Dcon is a great sub in it's own right, but I do think the Skar will edge it out a little. I have little experience with them directly, but the reports from the forum and several of my customers have been good so far.

I'm usually all for these questions, but with in the limits of the OP's question application won't make much a difference unless he has no space to work with. Then of course, that changes things a bit.
