These are rough measurements.. I got 18 cubes of total area.. but that seems hella big! trunk measures 40Lx40wx20 tall

edit I should subtract like 2-3 inches off of my length because my amps are mounted on my rear seat.. so my box would hit the amps when put back my seats!

What special material is it? And most people are not going to utilize the supposedly superior materials. If we were going by that logic then we should all buy JL because of their "cutting edge" materials and technology. I'm not even going to pretend I know as much as you because that would just be laughable. However I doubt this guy will be pushing subs to their limits and beyond. He'll most of the brands he mentioned will take any abuse you throw at them and much more. While costing much less

JL Audio has a great marketing campaign. Nothing else. They also have high return volume as do 90% of all manufactures. The idea behind DD is that the sub will out last anything. It will still perform at a higher level for years of daily abuse. No other subs can. I'm not saying go spend your money on them, just clarifying their logic on building subwoofers. They have less then a 1.5-2% return rate and that is on the high side of the estimate.

I'm in no way saying subs will not work great, just saying DD is a far better product. Not much else can be said.

Keep you budget in mind and pick out your system accordingly. There are many options out there. My vote goes to DD if you have the funds. If not then AQ is an amazing product as well. They get loud and low and at a great price.

There are many other brands that build the same quality here in the USA and the perform just as good. They best part tho is they cost half of what DD mid level line up does

The only ones i know of that actual build in the US is DD,IA,PAP and FI. By build i mean actually machine the parts.
