So I got my MJ-18's running...

They are pretty awesome . I love my buddies 2 that I put in his explorer . Give them a few weeks...they get better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I don't think there is anything better for the money .

I'm going to do a wall with 3 in the cutty this spring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So how many watts u throwing to the pair again?
Just 750, and they do very well off of that little power. I'll have ~1800 on tap in a couple of weeks...

That's a tiny box for 18's. The box I just built for my two 15's is bigger than that. lol
Glad you like your new toys.
The MJ's don't really need a large box. Mark himself said that 9ft^3 would be perfect for a pair, and since they're his subs, I'll take his word that he know what box they like(not to mention the mach 5 site says 4.5ft^3 is ideal, also). And what 15's are you using that need 4.5ft^3 each, and built a 12ft^3 box for? That a massive box for 15's...I put my 3515d and TC-3000 in 3.5 cubes each...I tried 4.5ft^3 with my TC-3000, but just no upper end at all and sounded like crap trying to play anything about ~55hz.

OP, has your sub broken in yet. Heard that once those are broken in they will perform even better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I've only been listening to them for a couple of days, and sparingly at that since I don't drive much (hitch a ride with the g/f to class).

Another happy MJ owner. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Yes yes yes.

I wasn't questioning that you put them in too small of a box, I have zero experience with those drivers. Rather, I was saying that's amazingly small enclosures for 18's... in general. And it is.

I was just explaining why I had them in that size box. I know you're not our to hate on people(at least not on a regular basis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ), and you're right, it's is a small box for 18's...however, the low end is insane in this box.

It seems MJ owners are becoming fruitful and multiplying... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yeah, work 'em in. The will begin to blossom.

Does 04edge still have his for sale? I remember he was doing $200+ship on his new one that he was having a hard time selling...maybe he finally got rid of it?

probably did, i'd loved to have picked that one up, but sadly.. I'd have to sell 1-2 more classics to afford it anyhow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I live just across a lake from 04edge, and went to HS with him as well...I was VERY close to grabbing it for just $175 picked up.

175 for that sub would be insanely good deal :p I sadly am never that lucky, I live in the woods part of KY.. middle of nowhere.
