I was in an accident last weekend. Somebody pulled out in front of me. I went over to check on her and she was screaming into the phone that it was my fault, I had my turn signal on. I just walked away and stood by my car and waited for the cops to show up. Turns out she was about 7 months pregnant and they had to cut her out of the car. She's fine, at least that's what the cop said today. He went to the hospital to go over what happened and she yelled at him because he told her she was at fault.
I got lucky though, there was someone behind me and she told the cops that I didn't have my turn signal on, which I didn't. She was behind me and had hers on, but mine wasn't. Either way though, she was at fault for failure to yield r/w. I'm about 90% sure my car is totaled, it needs a new bumper cover, fenders, hood, lights, part of the radiator support needs to be replaced, and it needs a new power steering pump. We haven't really got to look at it but it's pretty bad on the outside, I wouldn't be surprised if it's worse under the hood. The driver's side door wouldn't open either so something might be wrong where I tried to open it.
The whole situation sucks. I've got some crazy ***** that thinks I had my turn signal on and caused the whole wreck and I'm without my car for probably 2 months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. No car=no system, I think that should be grounds for pain and suffering //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif. We overheard one of her family members talking at the scene and they said this was the 2nd or 3rd accident she's had like this in the past few months. We don't even have her phone number or insurance information, none of that was on the police report //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.
