You should have ran his *** over.. As a daily driver on I-90 I know how many assholes drive that road daily.

Most are NY assholes in BMW's riding my *** at 80 but 98% of the truck drivers seem to be cool. We do this light thing at night if they need to switch lanes they usually flash lights to say go and again after to say 'thank you' kind of gay but nice to give each other a little respect on the road I know it's not easy driving one of those things.

people do that on purpose hoping you hit them so they can sue you. its bs. i cant imagine someone doing it to a trucker though, thats crazy. i respect trucker more than the average car for sure cause they have to deal with this crap all day. the average car on the other hand, if i cut you off at least i put the blinker on lol

Serious question: How far in front of you can you see. I know if a kid is standing in front of your truck you couldn't see it while in the cab. In driver's ed, they told us it is safe to switch lanes if you can see the vehicle in your rear view mirror. Do you feel this is applicable to semi-trucks as well?

As for the brake check, that was just dumb.

My uncle drives truck. He was on I-90 going over the mountain pass here about a month ago. Two kids that were boarding came across the center lane doing WAY over the speed limit on icy roads and head-on'd him.

i think the rule of thumb is to see both headlights in the rearview mirror

I just wish they would see me. We have heavy intersate traffic because 3 major interstates meet in Nashville. But it is a ***** when I end up in their blind spot because just the way traffic goes and then get pushed off the road...I honk the horn, flash lights, etc...usually that gets their attention.
