seems like the only units that can power a sub and a 4 channel speaker amp that arnt over priced are the pioneer screen decks, however I went to my store and saw the avh 3300bt the 2011 model and the screen looked so dated and ugly, which makes me wonder if the new units are the same ugly screen. I cant find any units really with bluetooth and 6 channel without having a screen why world why

never thought of that but **** those screens look so bad I feel like pioneer dins should look better than boss or other low ends but they look the same

My guess the the screen implies that you might watch movies so the manufacture works in a 2 stage setup so the rear can watch the movie a movie while the front stage plays music with a sub. Nonscreened HU's don't normally need 2 stage capabilities.

Look at some of the Pioneer Premiers our higher end decks.

These add ons u speak of what are they also are the new 2012 pioneer screens the same
Depends on the headunit. Alpine has headunits that dont come with all the bells and whistles, but you can buy modules that you want to add on. For example I bought the bluetooth for my headunit. It doesnt have it built in.

My pioneer MVH-8200bt has built in blue tooth, 6 channels (3 preouts) @ 4v each, 8 band EQ, full color LCD screen, etc. and costed me around $180 for a factory refurb from Pioneer on Amazon. I've used alpines and they are great headunits but I'm not a huge fan of paying extra for modules that really should just come with the headunit in the first place.

Thats great and all, but Alpine focuses on quality internals rather than flashy screens with dolphin screen savers. They dont jam every feature into a headunit that takes up space. They save those for the external modules.

I see what you mean however I have had 0 issues with this pioneer thus far and sound quality didn't go down at all between switching from the alpine to the pioneer. If you are concerned with straight SQ go with alpine you won't be disappointed but for a good budget headunit that gives you plenty of options the pioneer is the way to go IMO

Bunch of BS, they focus on making money by putting things into modules instead of building it in.
