snail shell box's

a snail shell is simply another term for a folded horn. This type of enclosure allows very high efficiencies as compared to regular bass reflex enclosures, and generally lots of output without a loss in SQ if the driver is correctly matched for the enclosure.

http://www.decware.com/imperial.htm - that's a plan for a 28 cubic foot folded horn, a little too big for your needs, most likely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But does give you an idea of the theory...

http://t-linespeakers.org/ - a close relative of the folded horn is the TQWT (tuned quarter-wave transmission line)...learn more about that enclosure here.

No, it needs to be tuned //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It doesn't work the same way as a port in a bass-reflex cabinet does.
