yes, you can mix different size subs.

is it good, no. is it worth it, no. will it cause cancellation, yes. should you do it, no.

lol, no. waves cancelling each other out.

think of it as the high point(crest) of the wave, meeting with the low point(trough) of another wave. the two come together like that, the resultant is a greatly diminshed wave.

Then he needs to upgrade his interior speakers or build a better box. A well-designed and built 15" sub will have absolutely no problem playing the entire subbass frequency spectrum, assuming the box is appropriately sized and constructed well.

But, mostly when people say they are missing the "upper bass", what they are really referring to is their lack of midbass; which should not be played by the subwoofer anyways......but rather by their interior speakers. So, typically in situations like this the problem isn't the sub (unless it is a crappy sub or a horrible box), but instead their interior speakers.
