I fell onto something that i dont think anyone has mentioned yet for a do-it-yourself smoked taillight and thats go to your local hobby store for like RC cars and ask them for window tinting paint...it comes in a small can and is meant for tinting RC car windows but it works perfect for taillights...buy about 3 cans or so and apply three light coats of the spray (or until you feel the smoking is sufficient) then when all is done apply a very light coat of clear to the smoked tails to protect the spray from dirt and dust and rain...we did my friends Sierra last week and it came out perfect...i now buy 3 cans for about $15 and charge people about $60-$70 to do their lights for them...well you guys have fun and remember...less is more when it comes to paint...and TAKE YOUR TIME!!
