you have to disassemble them yes, and also try autozone, kragen whatever

it looks like the 2 main ways of doing it are using tint film and spraying the light, either from the inside or the outside.

I cant find any of that tint film.... do u think a local window tinting shop will do that for me?

yeah i think imma do this to my tailights too. How do i check if it is legal or not?
