Smart Car setup advice

Hi everyone,

I could really use some advice.

Let me start by saying I'm not entirely new to car audio. From 1990-2012 I used to install setups for my friends, my own cars and was really into it. That said, I've forgotten a lot and I haven't kept up with the gear. Back in the day Orion HCCAs were amazing, XTRs were really good, Cerwin Vega had it going on and JL was just getting started. But between acquisitions and brands being sold and quality changing, I'm pretty lost these days.

The Setup
So, I have a Smart car (451 model) and I'm speccing out a system. I listen to a bit of everything, but hip hop and EDM mostly. I like it loud and distortion free. Thumpy bass that can also hit low in the frequency range. I don't want to fill my car with a speaker box, so I already have a pre-fab box picked out, which goes up underneath the dashboard of the smart. Here's the link to the box. It comes out to about 0.33 cubic feet of space. The head unit I've picked out is the Kenwood DMX9707S, which has 50Wx4 output.

I'm looking for advice on the following:
8" Subwoofer (I have about 8" of depth in the box, so doesnt have to be shallow mount) (no budget, but something that will last a long time without being overworked by the amp)
6.5" component set for the doors, preferably crossed over (I hate distortion -- preferably under $160 for the set)
Amp for the sub (the smaller the better, I have to find a place to mount this thing)

I currently have the Kicker 46CSS654 component set in my amazon cart, but I'm not sure kickers 8" sub offerings will provide the punch I'm looking for.

Knowing the type of music I listen to, any advice on what brand and models to get?

Thanks! From an old basshead who just wants some thumpy SQL. :)

Anyone? Is infinity still decent? Kenwood speakers any good? MTX? (I used to power a pair of Orion XTRs with an MTX that held its ground surprisingly well). Polk?

Yes, Infinity is still good. Polk DB Series gets alot of thumbs up here. Orion XTR amps are still beasts but big. I have never listened to MTX components but subs are on par with XTR subs. A guy on here just reviewed Oz Audio Vector 6.5 components and coaxials. He was impressed.
I personally buy the old used sometimes new components, so no help here. ADS is my go to for compnents.
Mini amps, I have only used DB Drive a8 series and the JL Audio XD series. A8s have been replaced by the Neo series but I have not used or heard them. I will install a DB Drive 4 channel class D soon and see if it sounds as good as the XD. XD series are awesome but on the pricey side.
