Slammed finger in car door...Self Pwnt

Last night I built a new box and when I was done getting everything back together I slammed my finger in my back door //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . This is actually the first time I have done this really bad like it is. My fingernail is all black and I can't pick anything up very well.

Anyone else have any experience with this injury?

That happend to me although it wasnt a self pwnt. My fingernail turned black and in less than 4 days it fell off. Took like 3 months to fully grown.

i've done bashed my thumb with a hammer awhile back, turned all purple under the nail too

the blood eventualy dried up and fingernail prettymuch fell off. it hurt like a ***** when/after it happened though

I once slammed my finger on my truck door, the door pretty much closed all the way with my finger still in there. It turned all purple/black about the size of lolipop, evetually my nail even fell off.

If you go to the doctor there's a chance they could drain the blood from under the nail. That'll hurt like a mother however.

same thing happened to my finger and my toe. your nail is going to fall off, and depending on how bad it is will tell you when. the worse the injury, the sooner it will fall off. my finger wasn't bad, by the time the nail fell off it was halfway grown underneath so it wasnt too bad.

I had something happen like that to me.

When I was real young my family was on vacation on block island, its an island off the coast of RI.

Anyway I was playing around and in the car with my brother and friends, when I locked all the doors, and then slammed the door and got my finger stuck. No one with the keys was around, So it was like that for a good 30sec at least. It was awful.

Once I open the freezer at night to get a popsickel, and a stupid roll of ground beef rolled out and fell right on my toe, broke it.
