well its sounds like he just using a random well in the boat and creating into a box.Maybe down-fire the port and have the box on legs or whatever.

Correct - Kind of leaning towards this now. Think 10 or 12? Only reason I ask is because I believe the 12 needs more volume in enclosure than most 12s.the alpine also has a rubber surround.
