Skar vs sundown

It's the type r's also I used to run them they sound great at mid volume but lose it when you turn them up. Get 4 sa8v2's give them 1500 watts total and you will be pleased.
You probably had the settings wrong and they can take a lot more than 1500 watts, 4 of them will eat that up and spit it out.

Q-mat and hushmat are the ones hat I know well

Plywood is a lot better than deadener for roof flex. I will be doing a few layers of MDF and fiberglass when I take my sunroof out.
how will you do that?! seems hard haha, and also, could it be the size of my port??? Everyone i keep showing this to says mine looks way to big, its 4.25 inches wide

I will put carriage bolts through the roof to secure everything. really don't care about looks. I want it to be solid enough that I can trust it as a mounting location for my next sub-amp.

There are several different ways to brace the roof with wood.

How tall is the port? Otherwise, 4.25 doesn't help much.

port height is 12.5 inches

I did that with 1/4 in MDF and p&l xxx adhesive. It lasted half of a song and started coming loose and flapping and then falling off. So then I had to pry tthe left overs off my roof and clean the p&l off my roof. What a bltch that was. Then I put 48sqft of AT deadener and some American bass deadener, American bass was better IMO, and roof is pretty dang solid now. Some people have good luck with that I didn't. My new wall the top will be stuck to my roof with something the shop said.

with the pioneer, i had it in a pre fab box (came with a car i bought) and it ran off of an almanii pa 900.2, and it did seem to have almsot the same amount of pressure, i can see if he is willing to flip boxes so we can hear, i just dont wanna blow his since they can only take 500 rms,
Dont crank it hard and you should be fine

Suppose to use 1/2 plywood and industrial strength construction adhesive and fill in the empty gaps with spray foam. Mines is still going strong, it worked better than 2 layers of deadener ever did for me.

so fun things happened, i went to move the box agian to test it out a different way (seen below), and when i went to go try it, my speakers make a popping noise when i turn the car on, and once i turn them up to 20 (my usual as around 30-33) the speakers cut out, i didnt touch any of the settings on either amp, and they are as is below.... i checked my grounds, my power and the Rem and the rcas and all seems to be well, i thought itd be a gain issue but then i saw that nothing was touched
